My Impactful Journey in Buikwe

Training health workers in Kiyindi and piloting biometric integration.

AdminField Journal

Recently, I travelled to Buikwe District to onboard a new cohort of community health workers. Together we explored ways to deepen trust, capture accurate data, and enroll beneficiaries with dignity.

Immersed in Community

Before any training, we walked with local health volunteers to understand their daily routines. Their insights reshaped our curriculum on the spot.

We introduced new diagnostic flows and simulated emergency referrals, reinforcing the confidence each worker needs during high-stakes visits.

Biometric Enrollment with Simprints

Integrating Simprints ensured that every beneficiary could be identified across multiple touchpoints. We practice real scenarios to reduce friction when teams go live.

The result: faster follow-up, fewer duplicate records, and a clearer understanding of household needs across the subcounty.

Looking Ahead

We left Buikwe energized to co-design additional content with the district health officer and to schedule refresher sessions through our CHP tool.

Technology is only meaningful when it amplifies the compassion and ingenuity already present in community health teams.
